Hospital Particular do Algarve | Gambelas - Faro
Built from scratch and inaugurated in 2009, the Hospital Particular in Gambelas is a national reference in terms of patient satisfaction and also due to the differentiated health services it offers.
With a comprehensive number of medical specialties, some unique in the region in terms of private health, such as 24h General Emergency and Paediatric Emergency Units, Maternity and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The Department of Surgery has shown huge development and differentiation over the years, and has been organized into Specialized Surgical Units, as is the case with the Abdominal and Colorectal Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Breast Surgery.
In addition to the excellent clinical care provided, it offers superior quality hospitality in terms of its rooms and suites.
Due to the continuous and solid growth of this hospital, in order to maintain the quality services it provided, in 2020 there was a need to increase its facilities. A new wing was built on the 2nd Floor consisting of 1,200 m2 for special endoscopic examinations in Gastroenterology, Pulmonology and Urology, a new Cancer Unit and a Women's Health Unit was also added, tripling the capacity of these specialties.
This expansion also made it possible to increase the Gynaecology / Obstetrics In-Patient Unit, with Puerperium, Maternity, Delivery Room and Recovery Room, including a new wing of private rooms.
