Pediatric Dentistry

Pediatric Dentistry is dedicated to the oral health of infants, children and teenagers combining curative and preventive dentistry.

Maintaining healthy deciduous dentition or  "milk teeth" is critical for correct phonetic and chewing function, as well as ensuring healthy permanent teeth.

The first visit to the dentist should be when the first tooth erupts, between 6 months and 1 year, to instil the habit of regular visits to the dentist, encouraging preventive habits and the early treatment of oral pathologies.

Type of Procedures:

  • Treatment of cavities (restorations, pulpotomies, pulpectomies, metallic crowns);
  • Topical application of fluoride (fluoride gel, fluorine varnish);
  • Application of sealants on fissures and grooves;
  • Preventive orthodontic check-ups.

Regular visits, combined with our specially trained professionals, turn check-ups into a positive experience, demystifying fears and anxiety often associated with going to the dentist. However, in situations when this is insufficient to reassure the child/adolescent, our units are equipped with CONSCIOUS SEDATION. It consists in the inhalation of a nitrogen oxide mixture (Livopan), which is a safe way of maintaining the child/adolescent calm and relaxed, while at the same time remaining conscious.
