The Grupo HPA Saúde once again joined forces with BebéVida for the 6th National Symposium for Pregnant Women. This event took place last Saturday, 5th October, at the Hilton Cascatas in Vilamoura and focused on well-being during the post-partum period.
The event was attended by the team from the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service at HPA Gambelas. Dr. João Sasseti Coimbra, an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Medical Intern, discussed issues related to pelvic floor dysfunction, its prevention, and treatment. Dr. Sílvia Vieira, a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at HPA, presented innovative treatments for pelvic rehabilitation in the post-partum period.
Additionally, the HPA Health Group physiotherapist, Joana Pacheco, discussed the importance of physiotherapy in pelvic floor rehabilitation, offering a practical and educational class that involved post-partum pelvic recovery exercises.
Mothers also had the opportunity to undergo 4D ultrasounds.
