The XXXIV National Congress of the Portuguese Society of Surgery took place at the Gambelas Hospital with the Course in Laparoscopic Surgery of the Inguinal Hernia. This course which was both theoretical and practical, included three surgeries performed using this technique, with direct transmission from the Operating Theatre to the conference room, where the congress was taking place.
The various techniques which were applied were discussed in real time, due to the audiovisual system which this hospital possesses, enabling for a structured and interactive learning, where surgeons and participants had the opportunity to be in permanent communication.
