HPA Saúde Wins Award at the 43rd National Congress of Orthopaedics and Traumatology

From the 6th to the 9th of November 2024, the Algarve Congress Centre in Vilamoura hosted the 43rd National Congress of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, an event organised by the Portuguese Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (SPOT). This congress, one of the largest and most prestigious in the field, focused on the central theme "Sustainability of health insurance: the challenge of rising costs" and brought together specialists from across the country to discuss the latest innovations and challenges in the specialty.

The HPA Saúde Group made a remarkable contribution, presenting 9 free communications, one of which won the "Best Free Communication in Knee" award. This prestigious recognition celebrates HPA’s excellence in robotic surgery within the field of orthopaedics.

The award-winning study explores the use of robotic surgery in total knee arthroplasty, an area in which HPA Saúde boasts significant experience.

This award reflects the dedication and competence of the team, which consistently invests in advanced technologies and innovative protocols to ensure the best care for patients. Furthermore, it reinforces the Group's commitment to innovation and the advancement of medical practices on both a national and international level.

Robotic surgery has become an essential tool in modern medicine, providing greater precision, safety, and efficiency in surgical procedures, as well as promoting a faster recovery. In the context of total knee arthroplasty, this technology has shown substantial benefits, particularly in relation to personalised treatment and individualised surgical planning.

HPA Saúde's participation in the 43rd National Congress of Orthopaedics and Traumatology and the receipt of this award further solidify its position as a national reference in high-quality orthopaedic care and cutting-edge technology, reaffirming our commitment to excellence in patient care and the continual evolution of the specialty.
