The HPA Alvor Conference Room hosted the practical course “RHINOSINUS 2026”, an advanced training initiative focused on introducing and updating participants on the latest treatments in the field of Rhinology. The event brought together ENT specialists and residents in Otorhinolaryngology. Under the coordination of Dr Luís Almeida Dores, and with a scientific committee composed of Dr João Pimentel, Dr Vânia Henriques and Dr Nuno Mendes, the course successfully fulfilled its objective of providing evidence‑based scientific information. During the theoretical sessions, several key topics in the speciality were discussed, with particular emphasis on the indications for balloon sinuplasty in chronic rhinosinusitis, the role of balloon dilation in the treatment of Eustachian tube dysfunction, and the management of nasal valve insufficiency using the Latera device.Another highlight of the programme was the presentation and discussion of the clinical protocol currently adopted in the Algarve for the medical treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis, based on biological therapy .
The practical component played a central role in the second half of the morning, with participants attending live surgical procedures.The event concluded as a successful initiative that reinforces the HPA Health Group’s commitment to continuous medical education and surgical innovation.
