Postpartum hemorrhage is the leading cause of maternal death worldwide, affecting 10.5% of all births and endangering the life of the woman.
A training practice course was held by a specialist nurse in maternal and child health Dr Andrea Haynes, with extensive experience in the use of the Bakri Probe and consultant at Cook Medical in reproductive health.
In addition to lectures related to epidemiology and causes of postpartum hemorrhage, participants had the opportunity to test the Bakri Probe.
