Present many mothers, fathers and babies. Some are already breastfeeding, others are still unborn. It was our 2018 Breastfeeding Symposium, which took place on the 4th of August, once again with the knowledge and support of our professionals. The motto this year was “Breastfeeding as an anchor for life".
It was the 3rd edition of the Breastfeeding Symposium, an event that seeks to clarify the important relationship between nutrition, safety and breastfeeding.
World Breastfeeding week is celebrated every year, from the 1st to the 7th of August in more than 170 countries, to encourage this practice and promote the health of newborns around the world.
The date refers to the Innocenti Declaration, signed by the heads of the World Health Organisation and UNICEF in August 1990, a commitment to protect, promote and support breastfeeding.
The topics this year have once again aroused a lot of interest on the part of the participants, motivating dialogue and clarifying doubts.
