The Clinica Particular SIIPEMOR in São Brás de Alportel was officially inaugurated on 14 October 2018. The importance of the project for the local community was highlighted and praised in all of the various speeches given. This is a project that started with the previous management in 2012 and aspired to expand and grow to a bigger, more accessible unit, but above all, more structured in regard to the availability of its services and to the connection with the leading health group in the Algarve.
The close connection to the community is a characteristic that everyone recognises in the administrators of the Clinic and has allowed it to earn the respect and satisfaction of the population of São Brás de Alportel.
Newly built, the Clínica Particular SIIPEMOR increased its capacity in the areas of Imagology, extended Emergency Services and more medical and surgical specialities.
The connection to the HPA Health Group allows for an even greater increase in the services on offer, because SIIPEMOR clients have easier access to the wide healthcare network and units.
The Believe Inpatient Unit will also be inaugurated soon, occupying the two upper floors of the building, representing an innovative project in mental health, and an alternative to the psychiatric hospitalisation that is the norm for public service in the Algarve.
The Believe Therapeutic Program offers the potential of self-knowledge and self-confidence, allowing the individual to overcome psychological vulnerabilities, becoming more conscious of emotional patterns, thinking and behaviour responsible for an individual’s suffering and psychological symptoms. This approach makes it possible, even when ill, to accept, commitment and personal development necessary to become a better person of oneself.
The Believe Therapeutic Program is intended for adults who require inpatient treatment for a psychiatric illness, such as depression and anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, post-traumatic stress, social phobia, panic, generalised anxiety or burnout syndrome.
People with personality and behavioural problems, such as impulsiveness, self-mutilation, substance abuse, eating disorders and addiction (alcohol or others) can also be helped through the Believe Program.
