2001 - Completed a degree in Medicine at the College of Medical Sciences, Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

2009 - Specialist in Gastroenterology at the Gastroenterology Service of the Central Hospital of Funchal and at the Hospitals of the University of Coimbra.

Professional Activity

2009 – Hospital Assistant in Gastroenterology at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça (Hospital Central do Funchal).

Areas of Special Interest: Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Proctology, Nutrition, Complementary Diagnostic Tests and Therapeutics.

Scientific / Pedagogical Activity

During her professional career, she produced:

- 16 publications in scientific journals (13 as main author)

- 2 publications in books (chapters), 1 in digital format, and 1 online publication

- 21 communications in-hospital clinical meetings

- 69 communications in national and international scientific meetings: 10 lectures, 29 oral communications, and 30 poster communications.

- Training Course for Internship Advisors - Adviser of Medicine students, Regular Year Interns, and Interns of the Complementary Internship of General and Family Medicine in the optional internship in Gastroenterology. Training advisor for 2 interns at the Complementary Internship in Gastroenterology.

- Member of the Portuguese Society of Gastroenterology, Portuguese Society of Digestive Endoscopy, Portuguese Group of Ultrasound in Gastroenterology (GRUPUGE), Portuguese Small Intestine Study Group (GEPID), Portuguese Pancreas Club (CPP), from the Portuguese Society of Coloproctology, from the Study Group on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (GEDII) and from the Centre for Gastroenterology of the District Hospitals.
