Academic / Teaching Experience

• Published more than 70 publications in Immunoallergology, 14 papers having received awards both in  Portugal and abroad, in particular in the areas of anaphylaxis (severe allergic reactions), food allergy, drug allergy, allergy to  hymenoptera venom (bees and wasps), rhinitis and specific immunotherapy (anti-allergic vaccines).
• Regular participation in the training of Interns in the field of General Practice and Pediatrics as well as in courses directed to the community. Invited Speaker at congresses and courses in Immunoallergology.
• Secretary to the Grupo de Interesse em Anafilaxia e Doenças Imunoalérgicas Fatais da Sociedade Portuguesa de Alergologia e Imunologia Clínica (SPAIC) and Member of SPAIC and of  the Grupo Português de Estudos de Urticária (GPEU) and the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI). Colaboration in  the revision of the Scientific Journals: Revistas Científicas: Revista Portuguesa de Imunoalergologia,, European Annals of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Acta Médica Portuguesa - Student Membro do Corpo Editorial da Revista Portuguesa de Imunoalergologia.
