Dr. Carina Freitas has long had a particular interest in the neurosciences of music and autism, having already written a documentary at Harvard's 'Media and Medicine' postgraduate course on this subject: “The Therapeutic Power of Music in Autism”.
During her PhD in Canada, research focused on the neurological bases of family music and the perception of familiar and unfamiliar music in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, using the technique of magnetoencephalography.
"I would like to continue my life purpose, which is to disseminate the therapeutic power of music and also the introduction of the arts in health, in hospital care, as they have the power to cure and why not use them for our well-being".
