HPA Magazine 9
The Madeira Medical Center (MMC) was named one of the “100 Best Companies to Work For” by Exame magazine. This annual distinction is based on multidimensional analyses that link the global satisfaction index of the employees relative to the conscientious performance of the company in society, as well as a questionnaire aimed at the administration, focussed on its management practices.
It was through this process that the Madeira Medical Center earned its place as the Best Company to Work For in the area of health, and in fact, it was the only one considered in the entire archipelago.
The workforce of the MMC indicated an overall satisfaction index of 75.3% (the average percentage of the Top 100 was 79.1%). The indicators that contributed to this excellent result were “Work Ethic”, “Motivation and Expectations”, “Team Spirit” and “Corporate Responsibility”.
For the Administrator of the MMC, Rodrigo Cardoso, this prize gives great pride to the company, as it shows the well-being and motivation of the workforce, which is what is most important and satisfying for us.
At the end of 2016, the MMC had participated in the “Index of Excellence” project, a study that assesses Organisational Climate and the Development of Human Capital, which had equally good results: it came in at 12th place out of a total of the 73 companies assessed (a group of medium-sized companies) and in 2nd place out of 10 competing companies in the Health and Pharmaceutical sector.
It should be noted that the rate of employee participation in this index was 97%.
