Thrombophilias
Thrombophilia is a medical condition that increases the likelihood of abnormal blood clot formation (thrombosis). In individuals with thrombophilia, blood clots more easily than normal, which can lead to complications such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, stroke, or myocardial infarction.
This condition may be hereditary or acquired. While some individuals with thrombophilia remain asymptomatic, others may experience serious health problems due to clot formation.
