Pediatric Cardiology
Paediatric Cardiology is the medical specialty that deals with acquired and congenital heart disease in children, from birth to adulthood.
The most frequent causes for the need to be seen by a Pediatric Cardiologist are heart murmur, chest pain, palpitations or dizziness / fainting. The initial evaluation, besides the usual clinical examination, includes an electrocardiogram as well as an echocardiogram with Doppler.
