On the other hand, the pressure exerted by removable partial dentures on adjacent teeth can damage soft tissue, which in extreme cases can lead to bone resorption and loss of the structure that supports the teeth.
The types of solutions possible using dental implants range from the replacement of a single tooth to the rehabilitation of all the teeth (total replacement).
When total replacement is necessary, there is no need to replace each missing tooth with an implant. Only 4 implants are necessary to firmly support all the teeth of the upper or lower jaw.
