B.clinic is our newest clinic for Aesthetic Medicine and Wellness in Madeira, which stands out for its diverse healthcare offerings, the experience and multidisciplinarity of the medical team, safety in procedures, excellence, and advanced technology. 
This project arises from the partnership between the Private Hospital of Madeira and Dr. Fernando Baptista, combining synergies and the experience of the undeniable references in Private Health and Plastic Surgery in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. To learn more about B.clinic, we spoke with Dr. Fernando Baptista, Clinical Director, who reveals more details.

B.clinic opened its doors in October 2023.               
How did this new concept of Aesthetic Medicine and Wellness come about in Madeira?
B.clinic was born from the desire to innovate and raise the quality of healthcare offerings in Madeira.
With a holistic and distinctive approach, essentially in the areas of Plastic Surgery and Dermatology, but also in other areas, such as aesthetics and wellness, ensuring innovative and individualized treatments, promoting healthier lifestyles.

We're talking about a multidisciplinary and experienced clinical team. Besides Plastic Surgery and Dermatology. 
What other differentiating specialties does B.clinic offer?
Yes, that's true. We are a different and distinctive concept. We strive for excellence in care and guarantee of the best practices, having a multidisciplinary team with professionals experienced in multiple medical specialties. In addition to Plastic Surgery and Dermatology, which are core to medical aesthetics, we offer other specialties such as Aesthetic Medicine, Vascular Surgery, Regenerative and Functional Gynecology, and specialties involved in the treatment of obesity and body contouring, including Bariatric Surgery, Endocrinology, and Nutrition, among others.

At B.clinic, patient safety is a priority throughout the process. How is this medical monitoring carried out in both surgical and non-surgical treatments or procedures?
Our priority and brand image are the assurance we give to all our patients that all treatments performed in the clinic undergo medical evaluation and guidance throughout the treatment process. We have permanent clinical direction and invest in the quality and continuous training of the medical and nursing team, as well as therapists and all staff.
What types of procedures and treatments does B.clinic offer?
We offer a wide variety of personalized treatments and procedures in multiple areas, whether surgical treatments, primarily in the field of plastic and aesthetic surgery, medical treatments, minimally invasive procedures in the field of dermato-aesthetics, vascular surgery, regenerative and functional gynecology, as well as treatments in the area of medical spa and wellness.

The equipment at B.clinic is state-of-the-art. Tell us a bit about the Fotona Lasers technology.
At B.clinic, we have two medical laser devices, the SP Dynamis® and the Starwalker PQX-Pico®, from Fotona®, a globally recognized and award-winning company for its innovative technologies. The investment in state-of-the-art equipment and advanced technologies allows us to offer, with much more safety and effectiveness, very favorable results in a multitude of medical and aesthetic applications. Some treatments are truly innovative, such as Fotona 4D®, for non-surgical facial lifting and rejuvenation, Hairestart® for promoting hair growth, and laser technologies in gynecology, which significantly improve the quality of life in conditions associated with postpartum and menopause.

What ambitions or expectations do you have for the future of B.clinic?
B.clinic has all the conditions to become a project that will establish itself in Madeira as the reference in the field of Aesthetics and Wellness. 
We believe and want, in a naturally ambitious way, that this project will expand into a broader concept, focusing on strategic areas such as wellness, smart aging, integrative and functional medicine, and health tourism, for example. We have only three months (we started our activity in October 2023) of existence, but many projects and ambitions.
