Ear surgery - Otoplasty
Performed under local anaesthesia - or general anaesthesia / sedoanalgesia, in the case of younger ages (children and adolescents) - this is a surgical technique which entails the remodelling of the ear with excellent results and great improvement in the self-image and self-esteem of the patients. Performed through retro auricular incisions, whose scars are usually not visible or not perceptible.
The most common deformations are the so-called detached ears or protruding ears, usually caused by malformations or congenital changes in ear development, usually bilateral, but in many cases with relevant asymmetry, capable of causing social retraction, especially at younger ages.
Cirurgia das orelhas – Otoplastia
Realizada sob anestesia local - ou anestesia geral/sedoanalgesia, no caso de idades mais jovens (crianças e adolescentes) - é uma técnica cirúrgica de remodelação do pavilhão auricular com resultados excelentes e grande melhoria na autoimagem e autoestima dos pacientes. Realizada através de incisões retro auriculares cujas cicatrizes são, habitualmente, não visíveis ou não percetíveis.
As deformações mais habituais são as chamadas orelhas descoladas ou orelhas de abano, habitualmente causadas por malformações ou alterações congénitas do desenvolvimento da orelha, habitualmente bilaterais, mas em muitos casos com assimetria relevante, capaz de provocar retração social, sobretudo em idades mais novas.
