Brachioplasty
Brachioplasty, or arm lift, is appropriate in cases of excess skin and fat in the arms, with varying degrees of flaccidity. This happens in situations of relevant weight variation, but also with aging and other situations. When this happens, the choices of clothing can be limited, which is often one of the main concerns.
Performed under general anaesthesia, usually on an outpatient or inpatient basis, this procedure allows for a smoother contour and better definition of the arms. Scars are camouflaged in the armpit or sometimes prolonged along the arm, in cases of greater skin excess and flaccidity.
Braquiplastia
A braquiplastia, ou lift dos braços, está indicada nos casos de excesso de pele e gordura dos braços, com flacidez mais ou menos acentuada, o que acontece em situações de variação de peso relevante, mas também com o envelhecimento e outras situações, que causam preocupação, sobretudo, pela limitação na escolha e uso de vestuário.
Realizada sob anestesia geral, habitualmente, em regime ambulatório ou de internamento, com cicatrizes camufladas na axila ou por vezes prolongadas ao longo do braço, nos casos de maior excesso cutâneo e flacidez, este procedimento permite um contorno mais suave e melhor definição dos braços.
