The Gynecology / Obstetrics Facility is dedicated to woman’s health, providing medical consultations and tests for the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases, as well as monitoring future mothers during pregnancy. 

This area of women's health encompasses aspects as vast as maternal and fetal health of  adolescents and women of all ages.

The Hospital Particular do Algarve provides specialized primary care and prevention, medical and surgical treatment of all gynecological pathologies to non pregnant woman. 

Senology Consultation are also available, dedicated to breast pathology, which integrates a multidisciplinary and comprehensive service: The Breast Unit.

Infertility Study

With the support of all the means of diagnosis available:

• Ultrasound;
• Hysterosalpingogram;
• Laparoscopy - diagnostic and surgical;
• hysteroscopy - diagnostic and surgical.

Pathology of the Cervix

• Screening for cervical cancer (Pap Smear);
• Typing of HPV;
• Colposcopy.

Urinary Incontinence and Pelvic Defects

• Uro Dynamic  studies;
• Minimally invasive surgical procedures
• Other treatment such as physiotherapy therapy (manual therapy, electrostimulation and biofeedback), treatment with pessaries and other therapies.
