On 12 and 13 February, Clínica Particular de Lagos hosted the 1st FP3 “Full Arch” Dentistry Course, a training programme designed for dental practitioners wishing to begin working with the FP3 immediate loading protocol.
The course combined up-to-date scientific knowledge with practical application in a real clinical environment.
This theoretical and practical training allowed participants, over the course of two days, to deepen their knowledge of:

Clinical case planning in FP3;

Pre-surgical, surgical and post-operative protocols;
-
Approaches in cases of low to moderate surgical difficulty;

Implant placement using palatal and/or pterygoid approaches.
One of the central moments of the course was the “Over the Shoulder” surgery session, enabling delegates to observe, in real time, implant placement (in the upper and/or lower jaw) and the laboratory procedure for the fabrication of an immediate provisional prosthesis.
The programme also included a practical hands-on session using a patient model, further strengthening the educational component of the training.
The course was led by Dr Rui Vidal Salgado, a dental practitioner with dedicated practice in oral surgery and implantology, who guided participants from treatment planning through to the delivery of the immediate prosthesis.
