The Grupo HPA Saúde once again sponsored and took part in the 5th Algarve Breast Cancer Congress 2026, organised by Associação Mamativa, on 27 February 2026, in Lagos.
The event focused on the multiple dimensions of pain associated with breast cancer, from an integrated and multidisciplinary perspective. Throughout the congress, topics addressed included acute and chronic pain, the emotional and traumatic impact of the disease, intimacy and sexuality, palliative care, as well as the impact of pain on caregivers.
In the panel “Pain and breast cancer: a global perspective”, we highlight the participation of Dr Magda Cordeiro, Consultant Oncologist and Coordinator of the Oncology Department of the Algarve units of Grupo HPA Saúde, who contributed her expertise in oncological therapies.
The 4th panel, entitled “Pain in intimacy: sexuality and relationships”, was moderated by Professor Ana Paula Fontes, Coordinator of the Training and Professional Development Unit of Grupo HPA Saúde, who is also a member of the Congress Scientific Committee.
