7th National Pregnancy Symposium

On 27 September, the HPA Health Group, in partnership with BebéVida, held the 7th National Pregnancy Symposium, which this year took place at the Hotel Real Marina in Olhão. The event brought together 122 expectant mothers and 96 companions, highlighting the importance of this initiative in supporting and preparing families for a safe and informed pregnancy.

The opening session was led by Dr Ivone Lobo, Director of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Department at HPA Gambelas, and Dr Paulo Vieira de Sousa, Clinical Director and Chairman of the Medical Council of the HPA Health Group. Together, they launched the scientific programme, which was dedicated to key topics in maternal health and also included practical sessions.

Throughout the morning, specialists from HPA Gambelas and guest speakers addressed subjects such as pregnancy monitoring, the impact of breast implants during pregnancy and breastfeeding, strategies to relieve pregnancy discomforts, the importance of foetal movements, cryopreservation, vaccination, birth plans and breastfeeding, as well as specific care such as foot health during pregnancy.

The event also offered a networking opportunity and the chance to share experiences during the coffee break, further strengthening the sense of closeness that defines this annual Symposium.

We would like to thank our partners for their support and collaboration, which made this event possible.

The success of this edition reinforces the commitment of the HPA Health Group to providing high-quality information and promoting conscious and safe preparation for motherhood, always focusing on the well-being of the expectant mother, the baby, and the family.
