ONCO HEALTH HPA, WELL-BEING IN THE ONCOLOGICAL PATIENT'S JOURNEY, was the event organised by the Hospital Particular do Algarve on 4th October in Faro, at the Eva Senses Hotel.
The programme included topics such as aesthetic medicine, specifically skincare, oncosexuality, nutrition, and physical exercise – all crucial subjects for the empowerment and self-esteem of oncology patients.
In addition, Marine Antunes (https://www.instagram.com/marine_antunes/), speaker and author, and Cristina Pereirinha (https://www.instagram.com/madame_pereirinha/), co-founder of Oncoglam, participated in the event with impactful personal testimonies on the theme: “Living with the Disease in the First Person”. Marine Antunes spoke about the difficult process of dealing with cancer as a child and how it influenced her entire adult life. Cristina Pereirinha, in turn, moved the entire audience with her daily battle against cancer.
This event was primarily aimed at oncology patients, their families, caregivers, and the general public, and it also aimed to highlight Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink October).
The Onco Health HPA concluded with three workshops: skincare and makeup, a show cooking session, and a physical exercise session. The registration fee, a symbolic €5, was entirely donated to the Algarve Oncology Association.
