Rino Alvor
Rino Alvor, a course dedicated to rhinoplasty, began last Friday, 4th October, at 1:30 pm in the Conference Room at HPA – Alvor.
The first day of this training started with the presentation of clinical cases – analysis and surgical plans, which would be addressed surgically in the following hours: primary rhinoplasty with dorsal preservation and primary structured rhinoplasty.
On the second day, the morning session focused on theoretical content, covering topics such as: an introduction to rhinoplasty, analysis, surgical plans, and post-operative care, nasal dorsum surgery, nasal tip surgery, nasal base surgery, and advanced surgery. In the afternoon, the practical component returned with the opportunity to observe two more surgeries.
The objectives of this course were to introduce basic rhinoplasty concepts to internal doctors in the specific Otolaryngology training and specialist doctors in Otolaryngology and Plastic Surgery who have either started or are beginning their first steps in rhinoplasty. The course was directed by Dr. Luís Almeida Dores, with the scientific committee consisting of Dr. João Pimentel and Dr. Ricardo Barroso Ribeiro.
