On 3 and 4 October 2025, the Hospital Particular do Algarve – Alvor hosted another edition of RinoAlvor, a course dedicated to training and updates in Rhinoplasty, bringing together medical trainees and specialists in Otorhinolaryngology and Plastic Surgery.
The event was directed by Dr. Luís Almeida Dores with the scientific committee comprising Drs. João Pimentel and Ricardo Barroso Ribeiro, and featured international guest Dr. Diego Arancibia-Tagle (Mallorca, Spain).
The main objective of RinoAlvor 2025 was to introduce and consolidate fundamental concepts in aesthetic and functional rhinoplasty, while simultaneously fostering the exchange of experiences among surgeons with different professional backgrounds and approaches. The course adopted an intimate and interactive format, prioritising close interaction between instructors and participants, and creating an environment conducive to practical, hands-on learning.
During the theoretical component, key topics in modern rhinoplasty were addressed, including dorsal nasal approaches, hybrid and structured techniques, surgery of the nasal base, and the use of costal cartilage in more complex cases.
The practical component, held in the operating theatre, allowed participants to observe live primary rhinoplasties using distinct approaches — preservation and structured techniques — providing a detailed view of surgical procedures and their technical nuances.
RinoAlvor 2025 reaffirms the HPA Health Group’s commitment to continuous medical education and clinical excellence, offering opportunities for practical learning, scientific updates, and the sharing of best practices among nationally and internationally recognised professionals.
