Because there are situations that cannot wait, we have a Paediatrician on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to attend to children without the need for a prior appointment.
Known as the Paediatric Emergency Department it is here that evaluation and treatment of acute situations takes place, for children and young people up to the age of 17 years and 364 days. Care is provided after screening, depending on the priority assigned to each emergency situation.
The paediatric emergency unit has been created and decorated exclusively with children in mind. It has its own waiting room and admission area. We have 1 screening compartment, 2 medical consulting rooms and due to COVID requirements 2 separate areas where small procedures are carried out and also when there is a need for short hospital stays (usually less than 12 hours) .
Our Paediatricians also benefit from the 24hour support of Imaging and Clinical Analysis as well as the collaboration of other medical specialists in other areas of medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Orthopaedics or Otorhinolaryngology.
