IN-PATIENT PAEDIATRIC UNIT
The In-Patient Paediatric Unit of the HPA - Gambelas is intended for the surveillance and treatment of children and young people up to the age of 17 years and 364 days, in situations where out-patient treatment and follow-up is not indicated. Children and teenagers with scheduled surgery or exams will also be admitted to this Service, before and after the procedures.
This ward consists of 5 private en suite rooms, all with air conditioning, television, radio and internet access, permitting a family member to remain with the child during the hospitalization period.
We have a specialized medical and nursing team with experience in various areas of paediatrics, working in conjunction with other services, including medical and surgical specialists, aiming to provide the best global care to the child and family.
To better facilitate the diagnostic / treatment process as well as the child’s well-being, face-to-face medical visits are daily, and nursing monitoring is continuous.
